The Rochester Association of Black Journalists offers four membership options—alumni/retiree, student, associate, and professional —each with its own fee, depending on whether you’re a journalism student, a media-related professional, or a working journalist; for questions, just contact the chapter and someone will respond promptly.


Alumni/Retiree Membership $25/YR



Journalists, media creators, educators, and retired professionals in journalism, PR, or related fields



Associate Membership
$42/YR


Membership opens the door to building lasting connections, gaining new skills through workshops, events, and representing RABJ at conferences.


Full Membership
$52/YR


Working journalists have the opportunity to expand their network, sharpen their skills through workshops, take leadership roles in impactful events, and represent RABJ at national and regional conferences.

Student Membership
$25/YR

Student membership gives aspiring journalists the chance to build professional connections, develop skills through workshops, gain hands-on experience

Membership supports diversity and advocacy in journalism for Black professionals and students in our community.
